CELEBRATING 22 YEARS OF HISTORY

Welcome! You've found Australia's premier competitive LGBTQIA+ inclusive basketball club! Originally formed to represent Sydney in the 2002 Gay Games, Spectres Australia has clubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Since 2001, The Spectres have been a well-known and much loved part of the Australian and International LGBTQIA+ sporting and basketball community.
Our mission is to provide an environment free from harassment and discrimination for members and friends of the LGBTQIA+ community, to play basketball, get fit and socialise. Although winning is important, showing respect, making new friends, and building our community are the core values deeply engrained in the Spectres culture.
